FedEx settles discrimination suit - Accused of bias in promotions, courier agrees to pay $54.9 million [USA]

FedEx Express has reached a $54.9 million settlement with thousands of African American and Latino employees in the western United States who accused the courier of unfairly keeping them in low-paying jobs loading freight... FedEx, based in Memphis, denied wrongdoing... In a separate case, a federal jury in San Francisco awarded $3 million in damages Wednesday to a former FedEx Express worker in Oakland who said she was sexually harassed by her supervisor.
