Between January 2015-March 2023, the Resource Centre has identified 437 lawsuits that bear the hallmarks of SLAPPs, brought or initiated by just 144 business actors."

    The China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals and Chemicals Importers and Exporters (CCCMC) launched the Mediation and Consultation Mechanism for the Mining Industry and Mineral Value Chain in May 2023. The mechanism aims to promote joint actions between upstream and downstream stakeholders to mitigate risks in the mineral supply chain through building a mediation and consultation platform with industry coordination, expert support, and voluntary participation of all parties.
