International Alert is an independent, non-governmental peacebuilding organisation. We work with people who are directly affected by violent conflict to improve their prospects of peace. We seek to influence the policies and ways of working of governments, international organisations like the UN and multinational companies, to reduce conflict risk and increase the prospects of peace. Job title: Gender Audit of the Peace, Security & Cooperation Framework for the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Great Lakes region
Location: Field work will take place in the Democratic Republic of Congo (North Kivu, South Kivu and Kinshasa), Rwanda (Kigali) and Kenya (Nairobi). Desk review and report writing will be home-based.
Languages required: English and French
Contract: 30 days during the months of August and September 2015, with field work starting on 24 August 2015. Final report should be ready by 2 October 2015.
