Gildan tour to show off Honduran factories - Solidarity Fund sends official on visit

T-shirt maker Gildan Activewear will fly a planeload of institutional investors, bankers and stock analysts to get a first-hand look at factories in Honduras where the company has come in for criticism for its labour practices...The Solidarity Fund has said it would investigate the situation in Honduras after a Toronto human-rights group, called the Maquila Solidarity Network, alleged several workers were dismissed in November after filing for union recognition at a Gildan plant in El Progreso.
