Global Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator at Turner & Townsend

At Turner & Townsend we place corporate social responsibility (CSR) at the heart of our business. Our approach to CSR has evolved rapidly over the last ten years. In 2014 we launched a new corporate social responsibility framework and we are now working to deliver on this step-change in our approach.

The Global CSR Coordinator will have a key role in shaping and delivering our ambitions across the global company, reporting to the Global CSR Manager and working closely alongside our CSR Committee members.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive individual who will deliver real results to make the difference at Turner & Townsend for our people, clients, markets and communities.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Develop, coordinate and track varied global CSR projects
  • Work collaboratively between many key departments, including HR, Finance, Facilities, BD, and Regional & Sector MD’s
  • Lead research and reviews to shape our approach on key CSR topics
  • Engage with and advise our network of CSR representatives to develop strong local, regional and global approach to CSR


  • Coordinate our CSR reporting, including managing our environmental and community databases and producing our internal dashboard
  • Undertake benchmarking efforts, third party disclosures and involvement in industry initiatives


  • Write internal news stories to raise awareness on key topics and celebrate our achievements
  • Prepare external news stories for our website, press releases and other communications
  • Support communication and embedding behaviours, including supporting campaigns such as our annual community week
  • Prepare effective responses to bids and submissions and external disclosures
  • Support the production of our annual CSR report publication, including gathering content and preparing copy


  • Manage our CSR Committee papers, minutes and administration
  • Develop charitable partnerships
  • Manage the Charity Fund, which provides corporate support for our employee fundraising efforts
  • Coordinate global and local community initiatives, such as our seasonal charity donations and payroll giving activities

Experience and skills

  • Proactive and flexible self-starter, confident working across all levels of the organisation
  • Degree qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in corporate social responsibility or sustainability, preferably for a large and/or global business
  • A passion for CSR and sustainability
  • Highly organised approach with experience managing multiple deadlines and complex projects
  • Excellent Excel skills and rigorous approach to data management and analysis
  • Strong writing skills with ability to engage effectively with a wide range of audiences
  • Good communicator with ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to see the bigger picture and overcome challenges to achieve key goals
