Guard pleads guilty over prison van death [Australia]

A prisoner transport guard [employed by G4S] has been fined $11,000 after pleading guilty to charges laid over an Aboriginal elder's death from heatstroke in the back of a prison van. Nina Stokoe appeared today in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on charges of failing to take reasonable care of a person in custody...The van's air-conditioning was not working and the temperature inside the vehicle is believed to have reached 55 degrees Celsius as the prisoner was being transferred...Stokoe's fellow driver...
