South Africa's High Court in Pretoria yesterday turned down the government's latest appeal on a ruling ordering it to provide pregnant women with the anti-AIDS drug nevirapine -- which is estimated to cut mother-to-child HIV infection rates in half -- while its case comes before the Constitutional Court.
