House aims to put cap on asbestos liability [USA]

Pennsylvania's House of Representatives approved legislation Tuesday that limits the asbestos liability of the Philadelphia-based Crown Cork & Seal Co., which employs 1,000 Pennsylvanians, including about 267 in Fayette County. State House Republican leader John Perzel of Philadelphia claimed the company could go bankrupt because of asbestos lawsuits.
