House ratifies Firestone Agreement [Liberia]

The House of Representatives has concurred with the senate in ratifying the amended Firestone [part of Bridgestone] agreement...[The] House passed the new Firestone deal with Montserrado benefiting for the first time in eighty-six years... A plead by Grand Bassa for a portion of the money to be allotted to County was downplayed. Grand Bassa lawmakers Vinicius Hodges and Gabriel Smith said the county should benefit from the money because Firestone pollutes the Farmington River.
