IBM, Tesco, Dell Top Ranking For Climate-Change Strategies

A growing number of the world's largest consumer and technology companies are responding to climate change with specific targets, energy efficiency efforts and product design, but there is a wide gap between the least and most responsive firms, according to a new report released Thursday. The report conducted...for Ceres focused on 63 companies... The technology, pharmaceutical and semiconductor sectors had the highest scores... The apparel sector, grocery & drug retailers and big box retailers...had on average some of the lowest scores. However, Tesco and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. stood out [positively]...but Costco...and Bed Bath & Beyond [ranked low]...
