Implementation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination in the People's Republic of China
In its report, HRIC [Human Rights in China] looked primarily at the PRC’s approach to racial discrimination to examine whether it met the standards set by the Convention. In doing so, we found that the anti-discriminatory laws and policies adopted by the PRC had left major groups virtually unprotected: rural residents, rural-to-urban migrants, and national minorities.
