India: 140 bonded labour freed from brick kilns

140 bonded labourers, including woman and children, were rescued from a brick kiln in Bhanwada village Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, by the district authorities. Acting on a complaint of bonded labourers being used in the brick kiln, a raid was conducted and 140 workers hailing from West Bengal were freed.
