Eni launches first human rights report

Eni on Tuesday released "Eni For Human rights"... The document... is the first comprehensive report on the company’s activities in the area of human rights, and is based on cooperation with experts and organisations in the field, Eni said in a statement.

"This document shows how respect for human rights is integrated in each of our activities, involving the company’s over 30,000 people and the way we engage with our partners and suppliers, as well as with the local communities that host us,” said Claudio Descalzi, Eni’s Chief Executive Officer...

Report: "Eni For Human Rights"

...Concretely respecting human rights is a prerequisite for a just energy transition... Our commitment starts from the relations we have with our co-workers, and extends to our relations with local communities, governments, with our suppliers and business partners, as well as to security activities and labour rights.

...In every Country we commit to foster an open dialogue and especially in the critical areas we choose to strengthen our presence, not going away but building bridges with local communities...

The UNGPs require companies “to show” their commitment, the measures they put in place to assure due diligence on human rights and an access to remedy, their partnerships and the main potential issues they are facing on human rights. This document, “Eni for Human Rights”, is another step we are taking in this direction...
