Danish Institute for Human Rights - Business and Human Rights Consultant
The Danish Institute for Human Rights is looking for a consultant on business and human rights in the context of transition minerals in Africa – preferably based in Zambia or Zimbabwe or other Eastern-Southern African country. The Human Rights, Business & Tech Department at the Danish Institute for Human Rights works at the crossroads between human rights and business, engaging with a range of strategic partners, including national human rights institutions, civil society organisations, national authorities as well as regional and international organisations. We develop tools and analyses, build capacity to integrate human rights into business practices and initiatives and engage in global dialogues on business impacts on human rights and sustainable development. In the African region we work with partners at country level to support implementation of responsible business conduct frameworks and practices. We are looking for a consultant to support our work in Africa, with a particular focus on the intersection of human rights and transition minerals in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as regionally on the continent.
