We are looking for an experienced business and human rights consultant to join our vibrant and diverse team of interdisciplinary experts who share the same ambition to drive positive change for people and the planet!

About the role:

In this role, you will oversee and lead all consultancy services and be a member of the strategy and leadership circle in the company.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Guide and oversee project teams and consultants to ensure high quality deliverables
  • Assess and support the professional development of team members
  • Ensure our standards, methodologies and tools reflect changing expectations and the latest (legal) requirements and international standards
  • Initiate and support the development of new methodologies and tools
  • Lead selected projects with high-profile clients
  • Write proposals and review proposals developed by team members
  • Apply your technical expertise to risk assessment and risk management processes
  • Monitor client’s needs and market developments
  • Help develop new consulting products
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and lead collaborations
  • Act as a member of our strategy and leadership circles
  • Keep up to date with developments in the business and human rights field
  • Contribute to the general business and human rights discourse by participating in publications, webinars, and events

You are:

  • A business and human rights expert with 7+ years’ experience working in a consultancy or in the relevant functions in a company
  • A responsible leader with an engaging and serving leadership style
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • A structured and strategic thinker with business acumen
  • Eager to drive the business and human rights agenda with an exciting portfolio of clients
  • Fully knowledgeable about the business and human rights agenda and recent developments (incl. legal contexts)
  • Experienced in developing and implementing human rights due diligence management systems, e.g., responsible procurement processes, risk assessments, reporting structures
  • Curious and actively looking to solve our client’s challenges
  • Able to process large amounts of information and condense it to structured and impactful messages for different target groups
  • Proficient in English, speaking a good level of German, and ideally speaking other languages as well
