Programme Manager for Corporate Human Rights Benchmark (CHRB)

Institute for Human Rights & Business (IHRB) is recruiting a dynamic, experienced Programme Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark (CHRB) under the supervision of IHRB's Director of Research and Legal Affairs and in coordination with the Steering Committee.

All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. The Programme Manager will work primarily from home and be required to attend periodic meetings in London.

The CHRB seeks to drive responsible business activities by developing a transparent, publicly available and credible benchmark of company human rights performance. The CHRB is a collaborative initiative, led by a multi-stakeholder Steering Committee comprised of IHRB, the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre, Aviva, Calvert Investment, VBDO and Eiris.

The Programme Manager will report to IHRB but will work on behalf of the CHRB. The Programme Manager will be expected to work with all Steering Committee members of the CHRB, supporting each member contribute to different work streams of the CHRB. The CHRB expects to appoint an Executive Director for the CHRB during the course of the Programme Manager's employment. Once that appointment is made, the Programme Manager will report to the Executive Director and to transition to a work contract with the CHRB directly.

Contract: 1 year (renewable subject to funding), with 3-month probationary period

Hours: Full-time

Salary and Benefits: Annual salary in the region of £40,000. 25 days paid holiday per year plus statutory local holidays. Contract will be PAYE, and subject to UK law. Employer pension contribution of 5%.
