Jordan & Lebanon Construction Survey & Responses
About the briefing
For the first time ever in the construction sectors in Jordan and Lebanon, we have carried out an examination of human rights due diligence through the analysis of a sample of 38 IFI or government-funded construction projects, where the implementing companies were invited to disclose information on human rights due diligence.
What did we ask companies?
We approached the companies with 20 questions on their approach to human rights due dilligence, transparency, community engagement, and remedy, with a specific focus on their work in Jordan & Lebanon's construction sector. The questionnaire is available below.
Only two of the 38 companies we approached responded to our survey, representing an 5% response rate.
