Jordan: Pharmaceutical company partners with medical relief organization to support refugee communities

Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC...  the multinational generic pharmaceutical company – announced a 4-year global partnership with Direct Relief, one of the world’s leading medical relief organizations, and the Prince’s Trust, which helps disadvantaged young people gain new skills and life-changing experiences for career development, as part of its new corporate brand launch announced recently aimed to put better health within reach for people around the world. The commitment of funding for the coming years as well as the provision of quality medicines will enable Direct Relief to strengthen healthcare services and capacity for vulnerable populations, particularly in Jordan and the US. In Jordan, this program will enable Hikma and Direct Relief to provide essential medicines, supplies, and other resources to support those residing in the country’s refugee camps.  Direct Relief will also provide a telemedicine unit to support physicians when difficult cases are presented. The Hikma partnership in the US will focus on supporting the safety net providers in states where the majority of Hikma’s US employees live and work - Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania...
