Junior school pupils in cotton fields in Andijan Region [Uzbekistan]

The Andijan Region authorities have decided to send 10- and 11-year-old pupils from junior schools to fields to pick cotton…The Uzbek government failed to fulfill its pledge not to send children to cotton fields in the second half of September when schoolchildren aged 13 and over were sent to pick cotton, who are now joined by junior schoolchildren.
