Kenya: Airtel donates 25 heaters for new-borns at local hospitals; CEO says they will reduce infant mortality

"Airtel warms Kiambu infant nurseries"

Airtel has donated 25 space heaters to Kiambu County hospitals, aimed at reducing the mortality rate of new-born babies. The room heaters will be placed in newborn units, labour wards, maternity and delivery rooms to keep newborns warm after birth. Twelve county hospitals and health centres will also benefit from space heaters. Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi said the equipment will reduce infant mortality in Kiambu.
