“Bus companies linked to terrorism to remain out of business till case is concluded”

 Buses belonging to four companies, whose accounts were frozen over links to terrorism, will remain out of business until a matter filed in court is concluded. The High Court declined to unfreeze bank accounts and insurance policies belonging to the four bus companies that were frozen by the government, stating that the issue touches on public safety. Justice Weldon Korir said that he could not quash the directive by the government as the bus companies have failed to convince the court. Sabrin Bus Services, E Coach, G coach and City to City buses will not be operational until the matter is now heard and determined…The buses had their insurance policies revoked and the bank accounts frozen since April 10 after being linked to terror attacks. The directive was issued by the government after an Alshaabab attack that left 148 university students in Garissa dead and many others injured. The bus companies went to court seeking orders from the court to allow them back on the road, but Justice Korir rejected their plea till the matter is concluded…
