Within a day of their video appeal going viral on the Khaleej Times Facebook page, the workers at Mussafah 43 have got their passports back...According to the workers, the Indian embassy in UAE has offered them help, and a UAE Labour Ministry official also paid them a visit...and assured them a speedy return home...asked the workers for their papers and made them sign documents for the visa process. Khaleej Times has been unable to independently verify this. The Indian embassy has offered Dh1,200 to each Indian worker for food and assistance.
