L’Oréal accused of discrimination in ‘all-white’ campaign [France]

The French cosmetics giant L’Oréal was accused of racial discrimination yesterday as the Paris Appeal Court heard claims that executives had sought an all-white team of hostesses to promote its shampoos. The court was told that Garnier, L’Oréal’s beauty products division, had tried to filter out black, Asian and Arab candidates for a campaign to sell its Fructis Style shampoo in French supermarkets. The world’s biggest cosmetics group vigorously denied the charges, which it said were unfounded…[also refers to Adecco, Districom (part of Adecco)]
