On 21st August 2020 at the hearing of David Castillo, accused in the case of the murder of indigenous environmental activist Berta Cáceres, the family of Berta Cáceres were not allowed to attend the hearing. The organisation that Berta Cáceres used to be director of, COPINH, denounced the event as intimidation against the Cáceres family and yet another irregularity in the case.
