Bhopal Gas Tragedy 30th Anniversary: Victims Appeal to US Courts

It's been 30 years since Bhopal gas tragedy occurred on the night of 2 December 1984 at the Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) where cyanide gas accidently leaked into the air, killing thousands of residents in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh...Various activists have filed a petition in the US courts against the multinational company to endure the cost of the cleanup, but Union Carbide, which spent almost $2 million to clean the site, said that the Indian government had taken control of the land in 1998.
