BNP Paribas's response to BHRC's new report on remedy in Saudi Arabia
We acknowledge receipt of your email dated August 6, 2026, and we thank you for sharing your concerns about the issues of access to remedy for migrant workers in Saudi Arabia’s energy transition.
As you know, in accordance with confidentiality in view with the obligations to which it must comply, BNP Paribas cannot comment on its relationship with companies beyond what is already public.
We would also like to recall that BNP Paribas already responded to the concerns raised by the Business and Human Rights Centre in September 2025 regarding alleged labour rights and human rights abuses affecting migrant workers on renewable energy projects in Saudi Arabia. We invite you to refer to these previous exchanges, in which we detail how the respect for and promotion of human rights are embedded in BNP Paribas’ policies and due diligence processes.
