In its resolution, the Council requested the Advisory Committee to prepare a report, from within existing resources, on the possible impacts, opportunities and challenges of new and emerging digital technologies with regard to the promotion and protection of human rights, including mapping of relevant existing initiatives by the United Nations and recommendations on how human rights opportunities, challenges and gaps arising from new and emerging digital technologies could be addressed by the Human Rights Council and its special procedures and subsidiary bodies... [T]he Human Rights Council Advisory Committee invites inputs from Member States and other stakeholders... [T]he Advisory Committee prepared the attached questionnaire on the topic to facilitate the submission of inputs for the report. The Secretariat of the Advisory Committee would be grateful if any information you wish to provide could be submitted by 15 October 2019...
