Carrefour Condemned for Lacklustre Response to Bangladesh Factory Disaster

Carrefour, has been accused of failing to take adequate steps to ensure worker safety in the wake of the Spectrum factory disaster in Savar in Bangladesh that left 83 workers dead...“...not only did Carrefour fail to notice these [heath and safety] problems, it has since not bothered to try to learn the lessons of Savar in order to ensure worker safety in its supply chain" [said Neil Kearney, General Secretary of the ITGLWF]...
