Dispute over Kumtor gold mine between Canadian Centerra Gold and Kyrgyz Govt. close to resolution
In May 2021, Canadian company Centerra Gold kicked off arbitration against Kyrgyzstan after the latter took over the country's biggest Kumtor mine for allegedly posing danger to human lives or the environment. The company has denied all the allegations.
