The Corporate Information Transparency Index (CITI) is a system for evaluating brands’ green supply chain practices that was jointly developed by the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE) and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). IPE uses this index to score brands using government compliance data, online monitoring data, and third-party environmental audits, as well as trends in the environmental performance of factories in the brands’ supply chains.
