Madagascar: Rio Tinto's subsidiary accused of contaminating water with uranium & lead; incl. company response, rejoinder & further comments

Activists have accused British-Australian Rio Tinto of contaminating water sources around its ilmenite mine in Madagascar. The company says it is continuously developing understanding of impacts and mitigations, and has commissioned brownfield consultancy and water remediation experts, JBS&G Australia Pty Ltd (JBS&G), to conduct an independent study of radiation around the mine.
