Mr Price blocks Myanmar clothing imports [So. Africa]

Mr Price Group...will no longer source garments from Myanmar, where the recent outcry over human rights violations by that country's military regime has led to calls for sanctions. Mr Price had earlier justified its importation from Myanmar by saying members of its quality assurance department had visited factories there and all had high standards of labour practice, including adherence to minimum wage legislation... Woolworths, Foschini and Edgars Consolidated Stores [Edcon] on Friday denied that they imported clothing from Myanmar. [also refers to Gary Player Design]
