Oil workers reach agreement with Albanian Govt. over unpaid salaries

Agreement reached: oil workers to receive salary for 1 year, 13 November 2020

Ballshi oil workers, who have been protesting for some time and went on hunger strike for their salaries, have today reached an agreement with the Rama government.

After the meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama in Fier, the head of the Ballsh Oil Workers' Union, Sokol Dautaj said that an agreement was reached for oil workers to receive a salary of 40.000 ALL (EUR 350) for a period of 1 year, plus social insurance. According to him, 870 oil workers benefit from this decision...

No agreement was reached on back payments.
