This seminar will examine recent US and international developments in relation to business and human rights. Are litigation risks becoming clearer, or are risk management challenges becoming more complex and diverse? In the US, the extent to which corporations may be sued for human rights claims under the Alien Tort Statute and Torture Victim Protection Act remains uncertain pending the Supreme Court decisions in the Kiobel and Mohamed matters.
