...Part of the ore reserves under the Special Permit was located beneath the Polissia Nature Reserve at a depth of more than 100 meters and could be mined using underground methods with backfilling. According to the State Land Cadastre and mapping materials of the nature reserve fund of the Zhytomyr region, the local forestry reserves "Mykytche" and "Slovechanskyi Ridge" are also located outside the Northern and Krushynka sites of the Perzhanske beryllium ore deposit and do not overlap with the area of the planned activities of Mining Company of Perha LLC.
The Northern and Krushynka sites of the Perzhanske deposit are also located outside protected areas and outside the Emerald Network sites of Ukraine, including UA0000001 Poliskyi, which are protected under the Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (the Bern Convention).
At present, Mining Company of Perha LLC has not begun the planned extraction or processing of mineral resources at the Perzhanske beryllium ore deposit; therefore, there is currently no environmental impact of any kind. The company continues technological studies of geological beryllium ore samples and associated valuable components, as well as project design work and other activities required under the work program of the subsoil-use agreement, all of which precede any industrial development of the deposit. The analysis of geological beryllium ore samples and associated components is carried out by the certified SGS laboratory (Canada). The company maintains an open dialogue with the local community, environmental organizations, and involved experts, providing information about the boundaries and nature of its planned activities and showing the areas where these activities are to take place...
Since early 2025, Mining Company of Perha LLC has faced unfounded and unjustified complaints from some non-governmental organizations, which submitted appeals to all law-enforcement and regulatory bodies, state authorities, and the media, alleging violations by the company during beryllium ore extraction within the Perzhanske deposit, including alleged breaches of environmental legislation. After reviewing these complaints, law-enforcement authorities found no evidence of any violations purportedly committed by Mining Company of Perha LLC.
