A 55-year-old man from China was tricked into working in Indonesia under false pretences, enduring dangerous conditions dismantling a steel plant without proper equipment or a contract, while his passport was withheld. Despite months of gruelling work and repeated complaints, he is still owed over CNY12,500 in unpaid wages and part of his deposit upon his return home.
