An investigation by Reuters found that Russia started producing a new long-range attack drone Garpiya-A1 with Chinese engines and parts, which it deployes in the war in Ukraine. This drone resembles the Shahed one but has several distinguishing features, among which Limbach L-550 E engines produced by Chinese Xiamen Limbach.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Xiamen Limbach and Juhang Aviation Technology to respond. Neither of the companies did.
