In April 2014, a communication was sent to the Thai Government by the Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises; the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants; the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of slavery; and the Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially women and children. The experts requested the government to respond to a set of questions related to reports of trafficking and forced labour by migrant workers alleged against two Thai companies.
