The Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) focuses on workforce preparation, stronger safety nets, and enhancing stakeholder capabilities to ensure "decent work."

Key goals include tackling gender and discrimination in the workplace, improving accessibility for disabled individuals and migrants, and providing fair educational and employment opportunities…

The plan also involves expanding social protection to informal workers and enhancing the social security framework to deliver comprehensive coverage.

In addition to domestic improvements, the DWCP seeks to meet international labour standards through the ratification and implementation of key conventions.

The Deputy Director of the ILO for Thailand, Cambodia, and Lao PDR stated that collaboration with the government and labor sectors is crucial for shaping a future where everyone has access to decent work.

Developed through extensive consultations, the DWCP's primary objectives include upskilling for future job needs, boosting global competitiveness through adherence to international standards, reforming labor laws, and providing quality jobs for various age groups. It also emphasizes sustainable practices and enterprise support.

In partnership with the ILO, Thailand is working towards transformative change to advance labor conditions, aiming to positively impact workers and their families. The DWCP represents a major stride in promoting equitable and quality work in the country.
