Leveson Inquiry: British tabloids are 'toxic' and 'unethical', Grant claims

Actor Hugh Grant has accused the British tabloid press of being "toxic" and "unethical" after suggesting to the Leveson Inquiry that his phone may have been hacked by the Mail on Sunday…"Their motive is money, it is always profit, why should I help them make money out of invading my privacy?"…He urged Lord Justice Leveson to reform the Press Complaints Commission to "give it teeth". He added: "I just think there is a section of our press that has been allowed to become toxic over the years…Mr Grant was speaking on the first day of oral evidence at the Leveson Inquiry into press standards and media ethics. Earlier he accused the Mail on Sunday of hacking into his voicemails, saying it was "inconceivable" that the paper could have obtained a story about his relationship with Jemima Khan any other way…The Mail on Sunday has categorically denied Mr Grant's allegations.
