Locals worried about impact of power plant [Thailand]

Will petition PM as he pays visit today: Civic activists are prepared to greet Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who is scheduled to visit the province today, by handing him a petition opposing a biomass power plant project. Plueng Khongkaew, a leader of the civic group Trang Assembly, said local people were worried about the adverse environmental impact.
