Mcdonalds workers strike on 'global day of action' demanding higher wages & secure contracts

"Striking McDonald’s staff demanding £15 an hour say they want Labour government", 12 November 2019

...Staff taking part in the ‘McStrike’ protested outside several stores in London today, calling for £15 an hour wages, and an end to youth rates of pay.

They are also demanding a choice of 40 hours a week guaranteed, notice of shifts four weeks in advance and recognition of the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union...

...[The strike was] part of a global day of action called by the International Union of Food Workers, which will see demonstrations several countries including France, Belgium, Brazil, Chile and New Zealand...
