Medtronic Announces $750,000 in Funding to Support Healthcare Infrastructure Development in Haiti

Partners in Health will receive $500,000 to help complete construction of a public hospital in the Central Plateau city of Mirebalais. The newly constructed Mirebalais Hospital will improve clinical care and technical capacity, allow for a wider array of diagnostics and therapeutics, and serve as a major teaching hospital...The $750,000 in grants fulfills Medtronic’s $2.1 million commitment made in the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti. Earlier this year, the company donated more than $1.35 million in cash and product donations to address immediate recovery and healthcare needs.
