Mexico: Chontal indigenous accuse the government and mining company Minaurum Gold of possible violations of their rights

Residents of Santa María Zapotitlán denounced that the Ministry of Economy and the company Minaurum Gold have not respected their right to decide nor have they consulted indigenous peoples regarding the concession and exploitation of their territory. They complained that the company Zalamera, a subsidiary of Minaurum, operates without authorization.
