New initiative encourages investor leadership on climate issues
At the CERES 2018 Investor Summit on Climate Risk, seven organizations—Asia Investor Group on Climate Change, CDP, Ceres, Investor Group on Climate Change, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, Principles for Responsible Investment and UNEP Finance Initiative—introduced The Investor Agenda. The initiative is a call-to-action for global investors to accelerate and scale up climate action in four key focus areas:
- Investment
- Corporate engagement
- Investor disclosure
- Policy advocacy
The Investor Agenda will also provide an annual report on the level of investor support for the actions and initiatives and the outcomes of these activities. The website for The Investor Agenda can be found here.
