Ok Tedi Mining is jointly owned by the Government of Papua New Guinea, Inmet Mining and PNG Sustainable Development Program Limited, a trust that invests dividends from the mine "for the benefit of the people of the Western Province and Papua New Guinea generally, in the form of sustainable development projects", according to the Ok Tedi Mining website.
