Organisers raise concerns about labour abuses in Phillips Foods' operations in Indonesia

Labour organisations are expressing concerns about human rights abuses associated with Phillips Foods' crabmeat processing plants in Indonesia. The allegations include paying low wages, using practices that threaten the health and well-being of workers and customers, and employing casual workers rather than full-time employees, a status that would make workers legally eligible to participate in the national health care system.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre contacted Phillips Foods and has not yet received a response. A response will be posted here if received.
