Defence Housing Authority response statement re. Dawn article on unlawful human rights abuses during land acquisition

The allegations leveled against DHA Islamabad are false, frivolous and utterly baseless...all acquisitions and purchases of land have been made strictly in accordance with the law and quite contrary to the false allegations...not even an inch of land has been taken forcibly or without the consent of the owners.

Developers crush rights in land grab rush [Pakistan]

At least three leading property developers have allegedly acquired...public and private land in and around the federal capital...by committing serious violations of human rights and killing innocent citizens...The revelations have been made in the report of a judicial inquiry conducted by District and Sessions Judge Mazhar Hussain Minhas and submitted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan...It exposes cold-blooded operations conducted by Bahria Town, Defence Housing Authority and Habib Rafique to deprive hundreds of people and the state of valuable land,...while legal owners were killed or evicted from their property and...implicated in false cases...and then forced to sell their remaining property. Safe Behind Their Walls [Pakistan]
