As announced in July 2010, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for business and human rights is convening a round of consultations with business, states, and civil society organizations, to discuss the forthcoming “Guiding Principles for the implementation of the Protect, Respect and Remedy framework.” The business consultation is taking place in Paris on October 5, the consultation with states in Geneva on October 6, and the civil society consultation in Geneva on October 11-12. On October 7, the SRSG will meet with National Human Rights Institutions at their meeting in Edinburgh.
