We raise the following points based on what we have heard from people working in this field, especially those defending the rights of victims. Inclusion of groups from the global South [by]...UN bodies on business & human rights... The UN Working Group on business & human rights and its support staff must be resourced [adequately]... The necessary resources should be allocated to allow key UN materials on business & human rights to be published in all six UN languages... Consideration of corporate abuse by UN human rights bodies & mechanisms...[and] UN agencies... Clarification of how states must protect human rights from abuse by companies... Publicising new mechanisms... Attention to business in conflict zones... Creation of a new, permanent office on business & human rights... Screening companies for partnerships & procurement... Binding international standards & enforcement mechanism...
